Firehaus Friends

All of Matt's roommates from college were in town for a weekend reunion at the end of May.  Some of the wives and munchkins came along too.  The guys had a lot of fun catching up, playing games, and talking.  The moms had a lot of work fun chasing around all the kiddos!

It's so fun to spend time together and to watch these families grow!

FMG

During daddy's week off, we spent a morning at Frederick Meijer Gardens.  Kate really needed to run off some energy, and that is such a fun place to do it.  She hung out in the children's garden, the farm area, and then took a long walk around the pond/swamp, looking for ducks, frogs, fish, and even a muskrat!

seriously, could she get any cuter?

Aunt Sam

Sam was in town for her graduation in May (congratulations on your Master's Degree!).  I got to attend the ceremony at Dimnent Chapel, which was awesome.  That same week, we all had dinner together at Bonefish Grill.  It was our first time there, and it was Livvy's first time to meet Aunt Sam.  What a special night:)

Memorial Day weekend

It was almost a month ago, but we spent Memorial Day weekend at home.  My brother, Bryan, flew home from California, so we spent the majority of the weekend with him.  The girls and I were at my parent's house all day Friday.  Kate was super excited to see Bryan again and I love seeing the two of them interact.  She always wants him to read to her or play with her; I think she's bringing him out of his shell:) It's cute.  Saturday morning, we packed everybody up and went to the zoo for the morning.  All the animals are out now, so it was really fun to see everything again.  We had a cookout with my dad's side of the family on Sunday night.  Monday morning, we went to the Jenison parade with my parents and Bryan, and met my cousin, Mike, with his family.  Kate had so much fun playing with Lukas and Liana.  She covered her ears every time a fire truck came by and she danced to the music of the marching bands.  Oh, and she liked the candy too.  Liv wasn't as impressed.  We spent the rest of the day at my parent's house, just relaxing.  It was a beautiful weekend.
