Great Grandma's spoiling session

My Grandma Kadzban really wanted to chance to spoil the girls (her exact words), so we planned a morning together at the mall.  After Liv's nap, we headed over and Kate hopped onto the carousel with Great Grandma.  My aunt Jean also came along to spend time with the girls, too.

After that, we had pizza for lunch.

And as soon as we finished lunch, we went downstairs to Build A Bear. Kate was bouncing off the walls excited.  She wanted every single animal and every single outfit and couldn't stand still for even one minute.  We finally got her to choose a friend - a brown rabbit - and she got to work picking out a heart, stuffing her, giving her a bath, and finding an outfit for her.  It came as no surprise that she chose an Elsa dress for her rabbit.  Liv was still a little young for Build A Bear, so I helped her out quite a bit:) She ended up bringing home an elephant in a Detroit Tigers shirt.

We got home just in time for afternoon naps, and both girls slept, it was magical.  We had so much fun that we decided to try to do lunch together once a month:) Thank you so much, Grandma!

Florida Fun!!!

Pridgeon family vacation was in Orlando, FL this year.  We headed down on March 7 and got to spend about a week with everyone.  Kate was a super sick little girl for the four days before our trip; I wasn't actually sure if she would be getting on the plane or not, but daddy was determined to get to Florida, so we pumped her full of medicine and braved it.  She was pretty miserable on the plane, but we made it to Orlando and were so happy to be greeted with warm air as soon as we stepped out of the airport:) Liv did a great job on her first plane ride - just restless and annoyed that she had to stay in a seat.

big girl had her own seat!
off we go!

We arrived LATE on Saturday night, so we spent most of Sunday catching up and getting settled. Which meant grocery store, unpacking, and swimming of course:)

On Monday, we took a long morning walk before heading to Lakeland for the Tigers game.  It's so fun to have cousins!

Liv is a fan of the water:)

breakfast with Bri Guy

Pretty much every time we finished an activity or woke up, Kate asked, "ok, so does anybody want to go swimming with me now?" We spent a lot of time at the pool!

this girl is ready for summer!
On Thursday night, we went out for sushi with Brian, Tristan, Paul, Nikki and Anna.  As soon as we sat down, Kate told the waitress that she needed edamame and kid chopsticks.  I love her.  Liv was all about the avocado roll and kept grabbing it off the plate:)

Most days, we all had breakfast together, and then Liv would take her morning nap.  After her nap, we had time to swim or take a walk or do something around the resort before lunch.  After lunch, the girls took naps, and then we had time to swim again before having dinner together.  On Friday, Kate had a picnic lunch by the pool, which was super fun.

happy camper heading home
We had such a fun time in the warm, sunny weather.  We were ready to come home by the end, but it would have been nice to stay and soak it up a little bit longer.  We are SO thankful for this time with family and a chance to make such fun memories together.

Kate's Ballet Class

Kate just finished a four week ballet class at our community center.  She did a really good job listening and following directions, and she had a lot of fun.  I think we'll be doing ballet again:)

Olivia's First Birthday Party

We had a ladybug themed party for our sweet little lady.  We had a lot of fun celebrating Liv's special day with our extended family.  Adam came all the way from Chicago for the party, and Grandma & Grandpa Pridgeon and Paul & Nikki came from the farm.

cousin fun!

Little Blue Truck - a new favorite book

She was a little unsure about the cake at first, but once she tasted it, she loved it!

Happy birthday, little one!
