Kate's first haircut

Our neighbor, Jill, is a hair stylist, and Kate's hair was getting a little bit out of control, so we scheduled a time for Kate to get her first haircut at Jill's house.  She pretty much watched TV the entire time, but it kept her still, so I was ok with it.  Jill did an awesome job.  She cut about 3 inches off, to even up the ends and get rid of all the dead, tangly stuff.

Kate was really sad the next day, when her 'Elsa braid' wasn't as long as it had been in the past, but otherwise, he's happy that brushing her hair isn't so painful anymore.

Easter 2015

Wow, I'm really, REALLY behind on blogging.  I do have an excuse: my camera is broken, so I only have my phone to take pictures.  And we've just been busy.  But that's not a good excuse.  Without further ado, Easter!

After church, we had dinner at my parent's house with my mom's side of the family.  It was delicious, as always.  Kate and Benjamin had a ridiculously good time playing together.  Kate found an old pair of binoculars and wouldn't put them down.  It was pretty funny, but she didn't go down for a nap until like 2:30, when she was so tired she started asking to go down.

After naps, Kate did her first Easter egg hunt.  With the binoculars, of course.  We put jelly beans and Hershey Kisses in the eggs, and I was so proud of Kate because she shared the candy with everyone there without even being asked.

Kate-isms

As I was packing for our trip: "Mom, all we need to remember for Florida is my swimsuit and your swimsuit and the iPad." Glad we know what the priorities are, kiddo.

Driving past the pond in our neighborhood: "Hi Geese! I hope you like our pond.  Sometime you should pack up and come to Florida with us because there are lots of nice fountains there!"

Kate: "Do you want to have two big girls?"
Me: "No, not yet.  I like having one big girl and one little girl."
Kate: "Well, I need Livia to get big so she can run with me and do puzzles with me."

Kate to Liv, as she's crying; "That's ok sweetie, you can't just always have what you want."

Me: "Kate, you're driving me crazy!"
Kate: "You need to wear your seatbelt and drive careful"

After she had been tucked into bed multiple times one night, and I told her I would close her door if she called again, she started calling for Matt.  When he went in, she said, "Daddy, I called you to take me potty because Mommy was going to close my door."

While raking outside, "Mommy, I am just working with all my might!"

"Let the show begin!"

I had told her no to several things in a row, and she responded with, "Mommy, just let me be who I am!"

"Mommy, I have a really good idea..." (I hear this one a lot!)

"Livvy, you need to change an attitude and not worry about every single thing"

extra March pictures

It's finally warming up and we are loving getting back outside.  Liv is walking all over the place, and whenever she hears or sees kids outside, she starts screaming and pointing because she wants to join them.  I am so excited for summer!

such a goof!

she's on the move!
