Thanksgiving 2012

It's crazy to think back to Thanksgiving 2011 and how tiny Kate was.  She was a champ that day and slept while being passed around both sides of my family all day, and then around most of Matt's family the next two days.  I remember it being so hard to get out of the house by 11:30 in time to make it to lunch because everything was still so new and we were so unsure of how to make it work.  But, thankfully, over the last year, things have gotten much easier:)

Matt worked the 7pm-3am shift the whole week of Thanksgiving, so we at least had time together during the day.  We had Thanksgiving lunch at my aunt Sheryl's house with my mom's side of the family.  Kate wasn't really excited about taking her afternoon nap there - she just wanted to play with her new friend, Benjamin...

We did get to go for a walk - yes, a walk on Thanksgiving! - later in the afternoon, and then stopped at my grandparent's house for a little bit before Matt had to head to the hospital.

Later that weekend, we had dinner with my family (sans Andy & Sam, of course) at The Dungeon and then played a fun, new game Adam brought home called Bang! If you haven't played it yet, you should check it out.  I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me.  Probably because I won:)

Kate, there's a little cheese on your face:)

Kate is walking all over the place and wants to be standing up all the time.  We're thankful that she's growing and learning so many fun new skills!

who needs toys when you have boxes?

We have so much to be thankful for and the holiday was a great day to celebrate that!
