Kate: Mommy, can I have gum?
Me: Not til you're older, honey.
Kate: Yeah, cuz I'm just a big girl. Mommy, you are older. Someday, I'll be older
She was looking at a book and said this as she flipped the pages (we've been practicing letters lately, and apparently she's a little stuck on the letter B):
- B is for birdie
- B is for tree
- B is for sunshine
- B is for flowers
- B is for bee
Matt: Do you want to say hi to grandpa?
Kate: No, I can't. I'm crying right now
"I peed."
In the hospital elevator with Matt, a stranger told her he liked her bow. Her response: "it matches my vest."
When Matt is at work, I tell Kate that he's helping kids feel better, so when he came home early one afternoon, she said: "Daddy, you're here! All the kids are better?"
She also likes to abbreviate everything lately. Here are a few funny ones:
- Pup & Ted (her puppy and teddy bear she sleeps with)
- Rowd (her big Rowdy dog)
- cooks (cookies)
- yum in my tum (yummy in my tummy)
