Christmas Craft-iness

We made cookie platters for Kate's grandmas for Christmas this year.  The idea came from Pinterest (you're surprised, right?), but we just used it as a guide and got a little creative.  Matt and I went to The Mud Room in Ada, which is were I've gone to paint pottery in the past as well.  Kate did pretty well not touching all the pottery and we didn't break anything.  She was even a pretty good sport about getting her feet covered with slimy green paint:)

Thank goodness Matt was with me to keep her entertained.  They did take a quick trip to the bike shop to keep her happy, but other than that, she did a really good job.

I also made an initial 'wreath' for our front door.  I found the tiny ornaments at Jo-Ann Fabric for less than $2 a box and got the letter at Hobby Lobby, so all in all it was a pretty cheap project and is a fun alternative to our usual Christmas wreath.
